Walking with lions

We have just spent four nights with our adopted family, Sally, Steve and Sarah, living in the lap of luxury on their farm outside Polokwane.  Surrounded by Sable and Golden Wildebeeste.

From Satara Camp Site Kruger National Park

We left the Bay just over a week ago and headed North towards Kruger National Park.

Passing through Piet Retief we decided to take a detour through Swaziland and took a right turn through the border post at Sandalane. First mild panic attack - no passport for Necia! Got sorted and promptly went off cell phone contact  for two days much to the consternation of Megan and Heath!
Two freezing nights spent in an isolated camp at Malolotja Nature Reserve. Loved the hikes and dip (!) in the river.

First stop at Richards Bay Caravan Park

First stop Richards Bay caravan park where we were able to spend time fine tuning our abode and vehicle. What a wonderful facility right on our doorstep that we were not fully aware of.

"The newbies" , as we were referred to by lots of friendly old-timers, spent a busy 9 days with early morning runs and walks on the beach, saying goodbyes and squeezing the rest of our chattels into a single garage storage unit.

We relished the realization that our soul responsibility for the next indeterminate period is our car, our trailer tent, and each other!

We are set to roll out of the Bay on Monday morning!
